“Now the trumpet summons us again -- not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need -- not as a call to battle, though embattled we are -- but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, "rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation," a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.”
Kennedy Inaugural Address 1961

CWMF is calling upon Houstonians to help lift the burden from our disabled veterans' life long struggle against the same common enemies mentioned above. I would like to emphasise the veterans' current struggle against our own government to protect the benefits they deserve. Also, the struggle against politicians using veterans' issues to win votes only to be abandoned once the wars die down and patriotism becomes less popular. Poiticians' terms in office are temporary but arms and legs do not grow back.
