Each year the CWMF selects a Houston area Marine to receive a financial donation. The funds aid the Marines and their families in the often difficult transition back into civilian life.
The funding may cover medical and educational bills, may be used to provide relief from mortgage payments, and may even supply Christmas presents during a trying time. The transition from the battlefield is often jarring, and is only complicated by debilitating and life changing injuries.
